A Long March-2C rocket lifted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China on Tuesday morning, successfully deploying a test satellite designed to advance the country's satellite internet capabilities.

The launch occurred at 9:06 a.m. Beijing time, marking the 595th mission for the Long March series. The rocket carried the satellite along with a Yuanzheng-1S upper stage, which helped place the payload into its planned orbit. Officials confirmed the satellite reached its preset position shortly after separation.

The mission focuses on testing technologies for satellite-based internet services, part of China's broader push to expand broadband access in remote areas and compete in the global space race. No further details on the satellite's specifications or timeline for operational service were immediately released.

This success comes amid a series of recent launches, underscoring China's growing expertise in reusable rocket technology and constellation development.
